OK people, so I’m getting married to the man of my dreams. I live in Greece and basically the options you have when getting married is either the city hall, or the church. I’m not a religious person so a church is out of the question. City hall it is, it will be short and sweet and following that, there’s a big party planned. I don’t have such a bridal fantasy in my mind, so I’m not looking for virginal veils, long trains and some super elaborate princess dress. I was thinking of sporting a fabulous and fun party dress like this:

The second choice is beyond my humble budget. I have a very good friend who designs clothes and she could definitely help me copy something and I would throw in a cute fascinator and my best pair of heels. Recently though, I have been flirting with the idea of a long, white dress, which would have to look like this well seen white Elizabeth and James maxi that MK is wearing:
Anyway, sorry to go on like this. I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas about this. I definitely don’t want something generic, that’s why the Mary Kate dress appeals to me, as far as white gowns go, it does have very strong, non-bridal features.
Bodytype wise, I’m 5’ 7’’, around 129 pounds, a size 6. I wouldn’t mind a tinier waist, but there’s always spanx!
Thank you.
posted over 3 years agoI personally like the one that MK is wearing. its really lovely, although non traditional wedding, it still looks special.
The other two look like cocktail dresses, u’ll look like one of the guests, plus spending over £2000 for the 2nd one is crazy in my opinion.
Defiantely the MK one.
xx
