Clothing with character

I purchased the most adorable Marc Jacobs dress on clearance from TJ Maxx today – clearance because the stitching was ripped from the frame (I’m positive that’s not a technical term but not being the sewing type, I’m at a loss) along the back in a 3 in. section. So question is: whether to take this to be repaired or wear as is?? Personally, I think it’s kind of cute, gives the dress a little character. But on the other hand, not wanting to jump on the ‘clothes-with-holes’ bandwagon just yet (a la Zoe/Lenny Kravitz or the Olsen twins).

i have a banana republic cardigan that’s ripped to shred..and i constantly wear it. i honestly like it more now than when it was a solid piece.

I tend to agree. I think i like it better as is. The material of my dress appears similar to your shirt. I’ll get around to loading a pic soon.
