Universal shoe

for high school. I think wearing heels to school is tacky, not that I wear them in general anyway.
I wear tights/leggings most everyday with some kind of dress or oversized shirt..
any suggestion?

I think wearing heels to school is fine as long as they aren’t higher than 3 inches. But I’d have to agree you can’t go wrong with flats.

Wearing heels is tacky only if you choose to make them look tacky.

i would have to say the universal timeless shoe are the patent black flats.
but i have trouble finding pointy ones! i have the regular round-toes and i’m a size 5.5, so when wearing coats or anything a bit top-heavy my legs look so stumpy.

It depends on what your school is like.
At mine you would get mocked so bad for wearing heels.
But i agree with alina…jazz or oxfords are the way to go! They’re flat and look more interesting than your usual black flats

i wear heels to school. i say wear whatever you feel like and own it.
but if it’s not your thing, i also agree with jazz shoes and oxfords, but even more so boots. there is a boot for every occasion, and there’s tons of cute flat ones so you can have style and comfort.

Any shoe can work if you do it the right way!:) I personally can not incorporate heels in high school dealing with the fact it’s pretty rough terrain (dirt, holes, cracks, way too many people to take a stride)

i would never wear heels to my high school because the steps are horrendously steep but that’s just me.
boots and oxfords are my vote.

I wear heels to school and don’t give a shit.
But I also wear flats, mocassins, boots, and sandals.

i wear heels, but usually stick to wedges and boots. they’re more comfortable and easier to manuver in.
