Are tights in?

I notice a lot of people wearing tights these days. Mainly black, but some are blue and purple. I want to experiment with colors other than black, but is it tacky to wear purple tights? |
Tights are IN. Definitely. They can turn a fairly blase outfit into something that turns heads. My favorites: Wolford which are pricey and very sophisticated running around $52.00 for a basic pair and Look from London (found in my shop) which has bright neons, harringbones, stitched patterns, and florals all really fantastically fun and sassy ways to add color, outfit contrast, and interest to an outfit. Try a pair. |

Ooh, nude fishnets. How much are they? |
I love my nude fishnets, much more subtle than their darker cousins…you can get them at Nordstroms for around 20 bucks. |
I’m loving all the floral & printed/patterned tights that have been on the runway, but I don’t know where to find them OR if I can pull them off. For now, I’m sticking to dark, ribbed and stitched tights. |

you can find the best selection of patterened tights and socks here |
Blue and mustard yellow are also colors that work |
I have tights in just about every colour imaginable: yellow, red, green, purple, white- sometimes they’re just a nice accessory, even. |
i love colorful opaque tights.. esp the violet and olive ones that i have. |
I’d say in. I don’t think it’s only a spring trend, though. I prefer black or cool colored tights. No oranges or yellow for me. |
haha. orange? yellow? now THAT’S daring. i wouldn’t really dare to wear those colours too. |
definitely in. zac posen’s f/w 08 09 showed a bunch of bright colored tights like orange/yellow/red…but from lurking tFS his collection didn’t go over very well. this past winter I wore mustard yellow tights and royal blue tights. |
Yes, if you’re daring you can wear bright tights under a black tunic or large shirt. |
Personally I wouldn’t dare bright colours (thou I like them on skniiy girls), but I can recommend nude fishnets to boost a business look: business suit (long trousers), business heels (means boring black or so pumps) and nude fishnets. It’s discrete enough but still gives the outfit a certain something. Haven’t worn that for a while, but will certainly do again once the summer is over! |

I’ve been seeing a lot of lace tights & patterned tights around, but plain opaque/sheer ones are always in, in my opinion :) |
I love tights, especially bright coloured ones or patterned. They can add so much to an outfit. I’ve just bought a pair of tartan-patterned ones! |
yes, both purple and tights are in, so if you’re gonna go with a purple tight that’d look awesome. this year it seems to be either all about colors, or all about toning everything down. |
I love tights, I swear by my black pair. |
when i wear my black tights that have the perfect amount of holes in them, i feel like i can do no wrong. |
Tights are a wardrobe staple no matter what year it is. Since they have become ‘in’ stores are stocking many different colors and styles. Black is always the fall back but it’s great fun to experiment with neons and patterns. And no, wearing purple tights is not tacky. As long as they are worn the right way. |
YES. though they’re incredibly hard to wear in california unless it’s late fall/all winter/early spring |
Tights are never going to go out. |
i can’t wait for fall and winter to wear tights again… |
So long as Wolfords are made, tights will be in. |
If you want to wear tights go for it. I think the tackiness of the colour hugely depends on how you wear them. If i were you i’d just have fun. I was wearing red tights the other day. |
