I never liked this brand.
It's too much military feeling to me and I really feel it's not feminin at all. More, i think it's very expensive for what it is.
I practically grew up wearing this brand, both shoes AND boots!
I remember when I got a pair of my own around age 8, they were a pair of red suede ankle laced Doc Martens. They were really comfortble and I wore it till I didn't fit the size anymore.
Then when I was 14, I got my pair of black laced Doc Martens, and I haven't taken them off till I was 19 :( They last for a long time and they are great stompers! But the pair I got at that time were made in England, and they had thicker rubber soles, so the durability of the material lasted for a while.
I finally got the Le Bodice Boots a year later, and though they are quite cute and stylish, it didn't have the same quality, since now all of Doc Martens shoes are made in China. I am still wearing them but the bottom soles are close to wearing out :(
I would say that Doc Martens boots looks great with any look, especially with the skirts and stockings/tights. It can help boost up the "rocker"/ "vintage" look if anyone wanted to go for that instantly. As for the shoes, well, that would fit more into the "everyday wear" category.
i love doc martens- they are very stylish and they are also very comfortable .
I own three pairs of Doc Martens : one black (12 years old), one navy blue, one 14 eyes black.
I think Doc martens are the perfect shoes for having a punky/grungy style : they fit with every clothes (jeans, pants, leggings). For a long time, mine were in my closet, but for several months, I just wear them everyday ! They're so confortable, I love them ! However, I find the new ones are less good than the oldest : that's why I own my last pair on ebay ! Bright new Doc suck a little
When it comes to comfort, I'd say it's hard to beat a flat boot, especially docs. However, I can see them being botched up pretty badly if it's added to the wrong outfit. There are certain shoes that are so awesome that they can make any outfit. I don't think these fit that category. I'd say if you're going for comfort, rock them off your socks. If you're going for chic, know what you're doing.
I got mine off e-bay for around $30 shipped. I don't think I'd pay full retail for them.
hmmm...i love doc martens boots although i don't hv one...i plan to hv at least one...
i love doc martens colors....so many choices...the one that i love is shocking pink...^^
i dont really get them, they look like big club feet. takes a lot of styling to get the look right when u use these shoes, at least in my opinion...
I wanted a pair for so long and it took me a while to get around to buying a pair. I finally bought a pair over Christmas and they are exactly what i expected them to be. They look great with jeans or leggings/tights and paired with some thick socks they are warm for winter. Im really happy with them!
Pros: Great to toughen up any outfit. Amazing durabilty against winter weather, helps prevent slipping on black ice. Will probably last you for a long time.
Cons: They hurt the back of your ankles when worn for the first time, but eventually it will go away. You'll probably want to wear socks when you wear Docs to prevent this.
WITH DOCS! The best boots ever! I love them.
