Somewhere walking between Darlinghurst & Kings Cross on saturday night, we found this sandstone wall.
My outfit was so comfortable. Usually its bodycon & lots of sucking in. Love loose/unstructured mixed with fitted/structured.

Casual outfit for a casual day of shopping in the city.
Came back with the most addictive pair of worn-in-leather combat boots (they are so soft & comfy I know I’ll practically be living in them) & a man-style fake rolex watch (courtesy of sister).

And so because I’m supposed to be studying hard for my exam tomorrow morning, I decided to procrastinate and experiment with this pair of gathered black tights reminiscent of Sass & Bide’s The Black Rats. $170 for a pair of tights? I admit, I was thinking of buying the real thing, but commonsense told me not to.
Anyway, I found this pair at Supre and for $40 its worth it. My love/hate relationship wit that store continues. Wore my sister’s new pair of gladiator heels and threw on a long oversized cardi. I also tried them with my black fitted scoop neck dress, and a sweetheart neckline black bustier top but decided maybe it was too dominatrix.
I should be studying now so will post up further experiments later on.

Lately I have been extremely busy with work and studying. I can’t wait until my exams finish in 2 weeks! I’m going to indulge my inner sloth and just laze around watching tv and eating all day. Speaking of which, I hope I used the right terminology, I’m not even really sure what a sloth is, but it sounds right.
I worked at the Melbourne Cup Racing carnival (though funnily enough, it was at Randwick in Sydney) and saw so many beautiful dresses and gorgeous hats. And also saw so many ugly, tasteless outfits and 40+ women trying to dress like they were only 15. yuck. So basically, the racing carnivals are when all the men dress up in suits, all the ladies dress up in dresses with hats and gloves and everyone gets tipsy on champagne while watching horses race. Sadly enough, the only time I’ve gone to one of these is when I’m actually working there. Next year though, I am definitely going to go.
What is with me and the colours black and white- i don’t know. Its wrong that these colours make up 90% of my wearable wardrobe. I so need to be more colourful.
Isn’t this gold chain necklace so beautiful? I bought it for myself on ebay!
From a lack of imagination, I have chosen the lazy way out and just decided to date my posts instead of trying to come up with a title, cause I am so creatively stunted.

Pearls are beautiful and I have become utterly entranced by them. You can imagine my excitement when I discovered this gorgeous pearl necklace in my mum’s jewelry box.

So, a slightly varied version of my last outfit. Whereas the last post was very cute and pretty- perfect for daytime, I think this version is a little more suited for nights out. I’m wearing a gorgeous extremely ruffly strapless top tucked into my high waisted skirt, a loose black cardigan, sheer stockings (a suggestion from a fellow chictopian, thanks!) and my perfectly divine bow belt.
I had met up with some of my close girlfriends, one who had recommended we go to a male strip show/act. Okay, so no it was not like a girl strip joint. It was more like a tease show, where the guys do lame boys II men dance moves to lame pop songs and randomly take items of clothing off while all the 40 year old women in the crowd go crazy. And yes, there were loads of middle aged women there. SCARY. In between acts they would involve the audience in completely embarassing games which made my friends and I cringe and will forever scar us.
A tad overdressed, yes.
Please note my gorgeous vintage looking buddha necklace, plus the gold watch which my sis bought from china for $2 australian. I am addicted to gold accessories.
