Chictopia and NYFW….heellllllo??
I could say all the wonderful things about chictopia and how it brings all these people together in the name of style ….it’s all been said and someone will probably do better than i ever could. to be honest i was a bit weary of the rating system of chic points where absolute strangers can rate you on something as arbitrary as style. But i joined anyway…Chictopia ’s managed to make fashion and style assessable and relate able…Chictopia ended up being a good thing for me…it opened my eyes to a new world of people who i probably would have never encountered on my own.

Basically entering this contest because it would be great to have Chictopia well represented and actually reflect its memebership. Although i appreciate and commend the community feel of Chictopia, I couldn’t help wondering why there aren’t many black style icons, aren’t we just as Chic? I don’t know i can’t help it, i am just being honest and observant. Am sure i won’t get picked (based on merit of course) , but wouldn’t it be Totally awesome if i did, maybe in a ‘Chictocracy’, wonder if i have enough chic points?
p.s Black girls can be COOL too :P
