So I've heard about Wolford's waist socks for men and finally got the muster to pick up a pair in black - they only come in black. So for close to $100 I'm the proud owner of this well made finely crafted garment. But that should be of no surprise to you - hey it's Wolford. In essence these waist socks are basically their high quality opaque cotton fiber blend tights for women but in a men's cut. The top is a silky boxer top of course with the leg part weaved in.
The results: A fairly comfortable alternative to wearing long johns under slacks, pants or trousers. They garment is strong and well constructed and I found the leg portion very comfortable. My only beef is the boxer top, which I found not very supportive and slightly uncomfortable. My suggestion would be for them to make the top more of a brief style than a boxer style. I would also suggest they make the price somewhat more reasonable since these waist socks are nearly twice the price of Wolford Cotton Deluxe for dames.
In doing additional research I have found that other manufactures make similar products for men. And that such products are hugely popular with European Men. Are us Yanks been missing something? Stay tuned....
