I found these yellow and pink floral Birkenstock type slides or mules quite by accident on a food-shopping trip to the local Walmart.
The bright calico print is what grabbed my attention at a time when yellow was really all the rage. The $9.99 price wasn’t all that bad either when Birkenstock shoes that these resemble can cost a pretty penny…
They’re by Faded Glory, a Walmart Brand, which offers some pretty well-made, classic items as well as keeping up with the latest trends, such as the blue and white denim jeggings I just wrote about.
Just like Birkenstocks, these mules feature an anatomically friendly molded and felted foot bed and a roomy, rounded toe with plenty of wiggle space.
There are even adjustable straps with nice brass buckles on the side to make them fit just perfectly! The one inch deep wedges have a stylish cork finish and rubber tread.
The only “downside” is that the uppers are fabric and not coated like “oilcloth” which are wipeable. So if you spill something on them, you have to clean then up with soap and make sure you dry them properly.
As for their sizing, the size 8 fits my 8.5 regular feet just perfectly, so they do run a little big.
I like Walmart 7 i shoe tennis shoes from them that were 100% recycled and its was nice! but ripped easily.
Although, flip-flops may not be "chic" by many, they are a popular item here in Florida! Old Navy carries them for $3.50 each or 2 for $5. HOWEVER, Walmart carries the same exact styles and colors, but for only $2 a pair! With summer over half the year, it's def a bargain!
I've owned 2 pairs [one brown and one black] of Walmart glitter trim flats for a couple years now and they have lasted so far! I wear them A LOT, too. I don't remember if I blistered when I first wore them or not, but they are super comfy now! :) They go with a lot, too, and cost me under $15 a pair. Def worth the money for comfort and durability!
