All about Velvet clothing

Velvet clothing first surfaced on Chictopia's streetstyle gallery in Summer 2008 seen on Chattanooga blogger Snowshoe. She wore her black Velvet dress with a brown button vest, black over the knee socks, and gray Frye boots. Since then, Velvet clothing has grown in popularity as bloggers from Indonesia, Jakarta, and San Francisco have discovered them. Velvet clothing is generally seen in chic, casual, and classic style. In November 2011, Chictopia wrote an editorial about DIY Velvet Circle Skirt: Blogger Favorite of the Month. Popular types of Velvet clothing are t-shirts, shirts, skirts, tops, and dresses. Similar brands include thrifted, Anthropologie, Target, and Zara.

hannahbird gave Velvet tops a rating of 5 stars and said: "Suuupper comfy, but just dressy enough to wear to work. Nice, loose fit that helps a lot since I move around a lot in my job. Very soft and cute."  See all 2 reviews for Velvet tops...

There are currently 155 streetstyle photos of bloggers wearing Velvet clothing. Most recently, blogger Denni of Chicmuse.com styled her black Velvet pants with a blue DKNY sequin jacket and white longchamp clutch accessories.
