The History Behind It All

I just wrote about Turkey today and how the culture influenced my style.( go check it out)
My sister has been to Turkey many times she brings back bracelets, key chains and other random items with the Eye on it. This symbol is apart of Turkish history. Before Turkey was a Islamic state it was ruled by Christians ( * note: the capital use to be name Constantinople and was changed to Istanbul ). Even after the Ottomans took over the Christian there was still some Christian influence. One of which is the Turkish Eye.
The Eye is to rid away the bad spirits or energy. This tradition is very prevelant in Turkey, the Eye can be seen on anything from bracelets to doors. This historic superstition from my knowledge is not used for luck but to reflect the bad energy way back to the person who sent it.

So BeccyBubbles19 maybe it wasn’t to prevent you from being lucky but to get rid of his bad energy. But whatever way you think about it everything happens for a reason. Luck or no Luck.
