Stella McCartney wooden wedge ankle boots from fall 2008

posted Jul 23, 2010 by

These are probably one of my favourite shoes I own; they're incredibly chic and always turn heads. The wooden platform make them easy to walk in, especially so as they're wedges, which is great. However, as most Stella McCartney shoes go, they do run pretty narrow and your feet start to hurt after walking around for a bit. After an hour or two of walking, the sides of your feet really feel like they're on fire. I have pretty broad feet and would only recommend these to those with regular width or narrow feet, unless you only plan on wearing them while sitting down.

I got my pair from an online luxury discount site and were a bit defective, hence the 4 stars for craftsmanship. As far as durability goes, the wooden section of the shoe is quite prone to scratches and mine has an indentation on the side from me accidentally kicking it against a table leg.

These ankle boots are really amazing and I'd sacrifice comfort because they are that chic.

Overall: 4 Comfort: 3 Durability: 3 Material: 5 Craftsmanship: 4
