Style Fashion Week Fashion Show

Mar 23, 2012   Skingraft/MadisonPark/Mila jacket review by

Last week, I was fortunate enough to attend the Style Fashion Week Fashion Show in downtown L.A. I saw several shows last Wednesday. Designers include Skingraft by Jonny Cota, MadisonPark Collective, and Mila from Project Runway and Project Runway All Stars. I'll start by saying the Skingraft show was spectacular as usual. They did what they do best and that is mixing knits with leather for a non-traditional couture goth look. They tend to use a lot of black, and grays in every spectrum. Always stunning! They did have a couple of light flowing gowns that still reflected their goth appeal. Love! MadisonPark collective was also really nice. New and refreshing take on menswear. It was quite different from what is trending for Fall 2012, but great casual wear. Mila's collection was pretty consistant with what she does. If you've seen her on Project Runway or Project Runway All Stars, you know that she has a great eye for color blocking and clean lines, and that's exactly what she showed. The star of the show by far were the leggings. They were innovative and creative. Part sheer, part matte, part shiny, and all chic! Really cute!
