I bought my Rodarte for Target dress second hand, long after its popularity had passed, but I was so charmed by its vintage slip dress style that I couldn't pass it up. Mine is a pale, dusty rose color, with tulle that is yellowed to imitate the effect of a vintage gown that has been sitting in an attic for years. That detail adds so much to the dress.
My only complaint is that the high waist, in this case, looks frumpy and unflattering unless you happen to have very tiny frame. I'm pretty thin, and this dress was very unflattering on me because of the way it's gathered. However, with a wide belt or a vest to cinch in and elongate the waist, this dress looks amazing on anyone. I wore it with a black denim vest, tights, and ankle boots to give it an edgy look. Great minds think alike, apparently—Natalie Portman wore the yellow version of this dress, and styled it similarly: http://www.glamour.com/fashion/blogs/slaves-to-fashion/2010/01/11/0112natalie-portman-rodarte-for-target_fa.jpg.
Overall, I think it's a cute dress with charming details, though not worth its original price. I'm glad to have found it second hand for $8.
i know i'm a little behind, but i've been keeping my eye on the line at my parents' target - no one is into fashion there, so the Go lines always go to clearance. i was super pumped to pick up the leopard dress for $11, but was disappointed once i tried it on... the material is scratchy & the fit is beyond weird. the sleeves were v. tight, but the waist & hips were pretty loose. very strange. all in all, not my favorite in the collection which sucks because i was looking forward to wearing the dress!
I am absolutely in love with this dress. Obviously not exactly comfortable, but not too stiff and too snug. The detailing is amazing (the back bows are my favorite) and the dress is a standout no matter what.

This blue Rodarte for Target dress is going to turn out to be a great standby for me; it's nice enough to pass off as a "nice dress," affordable enough to not cry over if I spill wine on it at a party, and looks vintage enough to fit into my general wardrobe. I'm pleased. Also, the capsule collections for Target can be a little iffy, quality-wise, but this one isn't bad at all.
i went thrift shopping today and oh my goodness i found this cuuute dress and i just love the material. it's too large for me so i'm gonna get it altered.
amazing dress, and wonderful craftsmenship- although the zipper does get stuck from time to time. i've received overwhelming complements. i only wish it was a bit shorter.
