polariod makes great film and cameras
most all pictures are going to the digital side of things
i love digital cameras but the pictures never turn out as clear as film does. with the polariod film and cameras the pictures had a different feel to them. the colors were so much more interesting because they distorted the colors just a little enough to make the pictures interesting.
i have the new printer which you can hook up to your computer or digital camera. i love this printer! my only thing is that the pictures are so small. polariod pictures used to be rather large now the printer gives pictures that are tiny! the best thing about the printer is that it doesnt require any ink! so i never have to buy more ink things i only have to buy paper.
i still love my Diana+ it is one of my favourites. I just need to get a light meter because some of the pictures i take are too washed out or too dark. i also love to use 35mm black and white! those pictures turn out so good! they are so clear and i can blow the pictures up so big!
while i like cameras, i wouldn't call it an accessory. either you like photography and you see it as your biggest necessity or you dont cary it around as an accessory at all...
and vintage cams you say? I still go for Holga and my lomo pics any day. but hey, that's just me.
I know it's a camera, but cameras make nice vintage accessories to hang 'round your neck. Anyways, it may not be as vintage looking as a Polaroid Land, but it's body is fairly durable (We got ours at Savers for $4! It was pretty new, too), and it works really well. Now why would Polaroid go and discontinue that?
