I love clothes. Obviously that’s pretty standard for a site like this, but I truly do! I feel like each piece has a soul. So, my favourite way to shop is in secondhand stores of any sort: vintage, thrift, consignment… which is convenient because I manage a used clothing/ consignment shop! I have very eclectic tastes. I tend to go for skirts and dresses over pants, although my pants collection has been slowly increasing… I tend not to “label” my style, rather dressing for each day as it arrives. One of my favourite pastimes is putting together outfits for myself and my friends! I have so many inspirations as well. I LOVE Paris, ever since I visited there when I was 14! I have a tattoo of the Eiffel Tower on my inner left ankle. I also love old movies in general as a source for fashion inspiration. Lately I’ve been loving 40s style looks a la Katharine Hepburn! I never thought I’d say this, but I love to 90s looks that have been creeping back… I was, and always will be, a Spice Girl. If anyone finds a Union Jack dress, let me know!
I am also very artistic and love to draw and paint. I’ve recently started taking sewing lessons as well, with a future goal of going to school for fashion design after I finish my BA in Religious Studies/ Religion in Popular Culture. Among other inspirations: Japan, mermaids, Gwen Stefani, Debbie Harry, Marilyn Monroe, Tudor history, Princess Diana, Grace Kelly, all four seasons, sunsets, crayons… Chictopia! etc.
