the inspiration for this outfit came from some of the costumes in the new alice in wonderland movie. i recently got this shirt from ruelala, and thought it would go perfectly with this skirt. the skirt is actually a junior’s dress that i bought at century 21 awhile back. i was lazy about fixing the top opening to make it wearable at my waist, but finally finished it this weekend. http://theowlsarenotwhattheyseem.tumblr.com

today i took my new jacket (courtesy of coach) for a spin for the first time. i was pleasantly surprised at how warm it was. i was also excited to get to wear my chloe foldover boots- it’s been too cold and snowy lately, and i’ve been dying to wear them. i can’t wait for spring so i can dress in lighter things like this every day. http://theowlsarenotwhattheyseem.tumblr.com

i have been anxiously awaiting the release of these miu miu maryjanes since last fashion week. i’ve never fallen so hard for a pair of shoes… nor, unfortunately, have i ever spent so much on just about anything. but since this was a long thought-out by, i’m really excited! i coordinated my whole outfit to compliment the shoes. http://theowlsarenotwhattheyseem.tumblr.com

i felt sort of like an evil schoolgirl in this outfit- i think it was the combo of oxford shoes and knee socks rolled down. i realized i had never photographed this lanvin skirt that i found in a consignment store this winter- i’ve worn it so much, even though it’s really meant for summer. actually i think i like wearing things in the wrong season most of the time- the contrast is nice. http://theowlsarenotwhattheyseem.tumblr.com
