Today was a drizzly day for pottering round town getting things done. I was going for casual elegance with the jeans and a pair of court shoes, but of course my oversized pink coat is a stand out item- I belted it in for a more sleek shilouette. The bow hair clip gives the look a more young feel and I love toting my Luella bag around.

I started the look with the tights and socks which I knew i wanted to wear together sometime and I thought the skirt would go with the black stripe of the sock. I picked out the jumper as another block colour and I think the top underneath looks pretty in the neckline. I love the tie dye effect of this cardigan, I was given it a few days ago. The necklace is probably one of the more unusual pieces of jewellery I own; I bought it in a boutique called Fab in Llandudno (Wales) when on holiday but shop has since closed down. I chose a pink lipstick so that the pink bits of my outfit wouldn’t just be the socks at the bottom and to add continuity to the whole look. I put the boots on last, I wanted some shoes which would be neutral and not another colour accent.
I feel really happy wearing this outfit. =) I always want to dance in that skirt.

A lot of my outfits seem to have a ‘berry’ colour palette lately and this is no exeption. The dress is nice because you can pick out the various colours in it with other garments and accessories. This was also the first time I’d worn the Prada stockings out, they made me feel quite fabulous. I won the ever so sweet headband in a Giveaway on the Pretty Good Things blog. The items in this outfit just make me happy, and the whole look is quite frivolous.

I wore these heart shaped pieces together, putting the highend with the highstreet. While the necklace is elegant, the earrings add youth to a look.

I like mixing patterns and textures unexpectedly. I know it’s winter, so this is an outfit for indoors. The outfit is pastel toned so I put in pops of bolder colour with the lipstick and tights.

A comfortable and practical outfit for a little shopping in town on one very cold day. I choose the earrings and bag to add a little bright colour.
