I don’t typically dress like this, but I was outside playing with my little brothers. My dad was burning some old wood from our barns, and it just seemed like a cool moment for a photo shoot, so I took advantage. Wish I’d taken a moment to change into a more interesting outfit, but I was really happy with the result of this picture!

So its finally here!

It has been snowing for three days straight, and finally yesterday there was a sunburst! I was so happy, I just rushed outside and snapped some photos…and actually, i think several of them came out pretty well.

Maryland has never had so much snow before in the history of the state…school has been cancelled for a week and there’s nothing for me to do but stay home and look at pretty pictures.

I was feeling sort of ugly that day, and when I feel sort of ugly I always skip my girly-hippy looks and go for something more grungy hippy. I never would have thought to photograph this outfit, but my dad made me, and I’m glad he did.

Looking back, I like it. The whole makeup-less, messy haired, kind of wild-child attitude. it suits me.

Almost everything in this photo was given to me in hand-me-down baskets from friends and neighbors…or stolen from my dad. I love his button downs!!

I was hoping to do this earlier, but I haven’t had the chance yet…this is my favorite red carpet gown of 2009. I find it so unique and absolutely stunning..the hair, the makeup, everything works so well!

And such an incredible, original dress!! Never seen anything like it.
