Claire's braided headband

posted Mar 18, 2011 by

I bought a headband from Claire's. It's a black faux hair braided headband. It's really cute actually. I bought it because I wanted something that I can use to dress up my hair easily.

When I bought it was pretty frizz free. When I actually tried it on, a bit of hair popped out. Sure, it'll happen, but I hope it doesn't continue to keep unraveling.

Overall, I really do like it though haha :)

Claire's earrings

posted Dec 20, 2010 by

I always buy their earrings, and the occasion hair accesories or sunglasses. They are pretty good if you find the right item, and cheap if you buy them on sale. Sometimes they are not the best quality, but pretty good for the price. I prefer their sister store, Icing, better.

Halloween is coming and the best way to find your perfect costum is doing it yourself. When I was in Europe, there was Claire's stores and I went there very often to find some items to complete my costume for Halloween. They had so many cute stuff for very very cheap (otherwise the quality is not the best) but anyway, aceessories are made for that, they don't need to last very long :)

Cheap Crystal

posted Oct 11, 2010 by

I purchased many crystal items, including jewelry and tiaras from Claire's. I purchased a tiara for my 21st birthday and one for my wedding [@ 24]. Their styles are still cute, but even at turning 26 their material is still veryyyy cheap. They tarnish very quickly and they suggest keeping them away from air/light. Even in a Ziplock bag, they tarnish. In fact, I bought one less than 6 months before my wedding and had to trade it in for another before the Big Day. Pretty bad, huh? The jewelry is a guess & check. some last, some don't. They are pretty pricey, too, at about $20 for one necklace.

First Stop!

Claire's is my go-to place for accessories of all kinds! I even purchased my wedding tiara from there. :) However, they do tend to tarnish quickly! Their crystal is nice and looks expensive [although you should expect to pay about $20 for such items]. I LOVE their kiddish jewelry and their hair accessories! Their prices have been going up lately and it's hard to find a single pair of earrings, anymore. Most everything is sold in 3-packs. :\ Although, their 10 for $10 is AMMMAZZINNGGG! I always stock up on those XD Either way, though, Claire's is one of my fav places to shop!

Really cheap plastic. but inexpensive

I love claire's, but I rarely ever buy stuff there, especially at full price. IIt's not worth it at full price! Just wait cause they always have a lot of sales to buy them. I got some bangles there for 87 cents, I thought it was totally worth it, i mean, only 87 cents, right? Well, I ended up never wearing it cause it was too big and uncomfortable.
I also got a really cute necklace from there once. (I can't believe I spent $10 on it!) I did wear this one more often, but the necklace chain rubbed against the back of my neck and made it all red and itchy.

So, my take, is just wait for the stuff to go on clearance! Besides, theyre always having those 75% off sales, cause it's totally not worth the money otherwise.

Claire's accessories

posted Apr 10, 2010 by

I used to shop at Claire's for my accessories all the time. They do have a pretty good selection, and it's pretty awesome that a lot of their stuff, including earrings, are buy 2 get 1 free (but if you think about it, that's about the same price you would pay at Charlotte Russe or F21); however, I've always found that other stores' accessories tend to be better quality. Sometimes I can't tell if Claire's is trying to cater towards young women or little girls!

I very rarely go into Claire's any more, and when I do, it's only because something caught my eye from the window. I haven't made a purchase there in years. I definitely recommend Charlotte Russe, F21 or Wet Seal over Claire's!
