I saw that dress one daythat I was surfing on Ebay. it just caught my eyes and I found it so simply beautiful that I could not miss it. I stressed during all the biding but finally got it.
And the photos were not good enough to show how wonderful it truly was. It was long above the knee, made on silk and soft velvet, with nice flowers embroided... just a perfection. I'm now in love with Chloé thanks to that dress.
The only problem is it is so nice that I have to find a really good occasion to wear it. Maybe the Oscars ?
I have changed my mind about it.
I always felt Chloe too deja vu but I found a very wonderful dress recently and now I feel ready for the rest of the collection.
When I first saw this item, I thought it was THE most elegant dress I have EVER seen. The detailing on this piece is so so intricate. When I first put it on, I was completely dumbfounded, but I figured out that the back strap (the longer one) needs to be tucked into the little hole they provide in the corner of the front strap. Also, the shoulder part of the lace goes in front of the straps, not behind :). Overall, this is a fantastic Chloe item, but it IS a delicate item. The bottom ruffles are sewn on with an unfinished hem at the top of the triangles to produce a nice and even frayed look. Although this adds to the beauty of the dress, I have to say that it gets annoying when I have to cut off parts of the fray that turn into strands of the material for fear that I might pull on the fabric/kill my dress :(
