Chinese Laundry Sandals

posted Sep 01, 2009 by

stumbled upon these chic black CL sandals at tjmaxx. definitely a simple style that can go with many different outfits. I needed flat shoes that i could wear my tights with and ballet flats give me blisters. easy to get on with a zipper at the heel and way comfortable.

Chinese Laundry over-the-knee boots

posted Nov 19, 2008 by

I had a little look today to see who else bought the fabulous turbo or top over knee chinese laundry boots, with varying opinions. Many people had just bought them and not been entirely sure whether they liked them, some refered to the as 'ho' or 'hooker' boots. And then you have to remember that Serena wore the grey suede versions in gossip girl. I must admit i think they look alot better with skirt and tights than jeans, and they are a little bit slippy (that might be cos they are a lil bit big for me). But they do make a statement, cos only few are game enough to wear these boots and try to not look like a hooker! If you are thinking about getting them, i say go for it, they are HOT. Might i suggest the black suede if you can get it, i got the black leather, but i think the suede will make you look slightly less hooker-ish, plus they would be warmer too!

These boots bring the suck

posted Oct 02, 2008 by

I bought these because I needed a new pair of black boots and really liked the low heel and height of the leg. However when I received them they looked cheap and I was really disappointed. Within a day of wearing them one started slouching way more than the other so that it was below my knee, while the other stayed up above my knee. I took it to many different cobblers to see if they could reinforce the legs to make them stay up, but every single one said there was nothing they could do. Then, to make matters worse, the second day I wore them I slipped walking down a hill because the sole has no tread, and the black color came off a whole side which is now white.
