I’m Brooke Tansley. One April morn in New England, I was born, and from the moment I could dress myself, Dad’s been laughing. He calls my outfits “clown suits”. I call them fun.
I love bright colors, 1930s – 1960s vintage, vintage heels, awesome deals, and wearing everything with everything. I don’t think it should cost a fortune to look fantastic and amazing looks can be achieved on the cheap. I like a pinch of irony sometimes and most of all I love to have fun and laugh – because it’s just clothes.
I’m a Los Angeles based actor who’s been on Broadway (Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Penny Pingleton in Hairspray), on television (as serial killer Belle Duffy in Law & Order: Criminal Intent and several national ads), and film (Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, My Sassy Girl with Jesse Bradford, and Who’s the Top? with Steve Buscemi). Currently I perform monthly with sketch comedy team, The Space Program, at Upright Citizens Brigade.
My love of dress-up has found me in everything from rags, to 30 pound ball gowns, to pasties and a g-string and I love it! I love to have fun, take risks, and not take style (or myself) too seriously – a mindset that I get from my dad.

I’m a quirky gal, and I like my clothes to be upfront about it. My sites: playfulapril.com – style blog “thelittleorchardhouse… ”gray_text">view more
