Looking through the pages of my scrapbooks, from an early age I have always had a keen sense of style. Some of my ideas have been inspired by magazines with me building upon them with my own ideas and budget savy measures, like shopping at thrift stores. Vintage clothing has made my style more interesting, unique, and original. Over the years, I have constantly been asked the same question “Where did you get your outfit?” to which I tell them that my style is unique because I start with basic timeless pieces and slowly add to them with new trends of the season. Magazines have not only influenced my style, but have also allowed me to be creative with makeup and hairstyles that make an outfit stand out. My mom has always laughed and said “You can wear a paper bag and still look great.” However, not all fashions look proper on my body even if its in my size. I like to think of fashion as the steps to a recipe. You have to start with the basics first, then add the extras, and the toppings as a final touch. Being a university student I try to stand out rather than blend in and have created my own blog and tweet daily to inspire girls to be creative having fun with fashion.
